MALMORT

This is a WIP demo single-player version. It will have some long lag spikes on first use of some actions. Only one hero and a small roster of traps are here. We want to collect feedback on the feel of the game and the tutorial. It is not representative of the visual and performance of the final product.

MALMORT

Deep in the bayou, the dead are rising from the black water, and only an old totem still holds them back.

MALMORT is a first-person tower defense with a PSX horror look. Build wooden walkways on stilts above the swamp, fill them with traps, and fight the horde yourself, weapon in hand, as it wades out of the fog toward the totem.

• Build your defense: lay platforms, ramps and ladders, then place barbed wire, spikes, presses, torches and crossbow sentries where the horde will pass.
• Fight up close: you're on the walkways with your traps, firing your harpoon gun and throwing fire grenades.
• Stack combos: zombies hit by several different traps and effects before they die earn more souls. Spend them on more defenses.
• Survive the bayou: runners, crawlers, witches that throw poison from the treeline, and a boss at the end.
• Mind the fog: it creeps in during waves. It hides zombies from your turrets and slowly drives you mad. Light lanterns to push it back.
